Jazz dance is an umbrella term that can refer to several related dance styles, connected via common roots, namely tap, ballet, jazz music, and African-American rhythms and dance. Modern jazz is a transformation of Jazz dance that uses many different movements reaching to a broad choice of varying rhythms and musical styles. The dance could explore contrast between expansion and relaxation or isolate in a slick stylish mood. The dancers' strong and sharp movements are greatly aided by a good background in ballet technique (a view strongly believed at Ballet blanc!).
